ProPing TT measures the people who play it — strokes, movement, body, room, equipment, behaviour — publishes statistics derived from that, and trains its AI players on it. This page says so plainly, and what your choices are.

The short version
ProPing TT is a measuring instrument you play in. When you play, it measures you: your strokes, your movement, your body, your room, your equipment and how you play. We keep those measurements because the platform depends on them: they are what lets a result be inspected afterwards, what lets us reconstruct what happened when something goes wrong, what catches a build that has become slower or less accurate before it reaches you, and what tells a real stroke from an impossible one. We also publish statistics derived from them under your display name and in aggregate, and use them to train the AI players and to improve the physics. If you do not want your play measured, kept and used this way, ProPing TT is not for you at this stage — there is no way to play while opting out, and we would rather say so plainly.
This website
propingtt.com is a set of static pages served by Cloudflare. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and loads nothing from any other host: type, styles and scripts come from this domain. Cloudflare processes connection metadata (your IP address, the request) to serve the page and protect the site, under Cloudflare's privacy policy. We do not receive or keep visitor logs. The Live page asks a host of ours for its status; that request carries nothing about you beyond what any web request carries.
What the apps measure
The apps — ProPing TT Basics, Open Play, Club and Tournaments — run on Meta Quest headsets. While you play they record:
- Your strokes. Racket position, angle and speed at every contact; where the ball met the rubber; ball speed, spin and placement; serve and rally outcomes; scores.
- Your movement and body. Head, hand and controller tracking from the headset; body tracking where the device provides it; and, at a club table or a home rig you set up, video from external cameras and the skeleton reconstructed from it.
- Your room. The play space and table position the headset provides, the room's dimensions and lighting as the app diagnoses them, and the anchors used to keep the table in place.
- Your equipment. The blade and rubber profiles you calibrate and the calibration measurements themselves.
- How you play. Timing, shot selection, tempo, reaction, drill results, coaching verdicts, and the conditions of each session: frame timing, network delay, device and build.
- Voice, only while you have turned it on; other players see that it is on.
Every record carries your profile identifier and the display name you chose. We do not receive your account password; signing in with Google or Meta gives us an identity token and the e-mail address on that account.
What we do with it
- Keep it honest and working. Transparency: a result, a rating or a coach's verdict can be traced back to the measurements it came from. Forensics: when something goes wrong — a crash, a lost point, a result that looks wrong — we can reconstruct what happened. Regression tracking: every build is checked against recorded play so one that has become slower or less accurate is caught before it reaches you. Anomaly detection: inputs beyond what a human arm can do, and tampering, are recognised because ordinary play is measured so thoroughly.
- Run the platform. Simulate shared tables, keep club rooms, match records and rating state, let a coach or spectator you invite see your session as it runs, and diagnose faults.
- Publish statistics. Matches you play in a club, in open play or in a tournament are public records: score, statistics and replay may appear on this site under your display name, together with ratings derived from them. We also publish statistics aggregated across players.
- Train AI players. The AI opponents are trained on recorded play — yours included. A persona built from aggregate data is nobody in particular. An AI player that mimics you — your name, handle, likeness or style presented as yours — is built only if you opt in and ask for it.
- Improve the physics and the coaching. Measurements are used to fit and validate the ball, racket and body models and the coaching verdicts.
We do not sell your data as it is. Works derived from it — the AI players trained on aggregate play, and a mimicking AI player you opted in to — are ours to offer as part of the platform. Recordings you make and clips you cut are shared only when you share them.
Where it lives, and for how long
Records are written on the headset first. Whenever an app is connected to our node — signed in, in a club room, or at a shared table — records are sent to that node and kept there. We keep them for as long as the platform runs; published records are meant to be permanent addresses.
Before you sign in, the app may send non-personal telemetry — frame timing, network conditions, errors, device model and build — to diagnose faults. It carries no profile identifier and no measurement of you. Basics plays fully offline; the rest of what this page describes begins when you sign in.
Age
The apps are rated for teens and adults. We do not knowingly keep data from children under 13; if you believe we have, write to us and we will delete it.
Your choices
- Delete the app's data from the headset's storage settings at any time; that removes everything stored on the device.
- Ask us to delete your profile and the records held on our node by writing to propingtt@artinski.net from the address you signed in with. We will delete them. Statistics already published in aggregate, and AI players already trained, cannot be un-derived; results already part of other players' records stay in those records.
- Turn voice off; it is off by default.
